This forum is a pioneering global event that intends to address gender equality and women’s empowerment in and through the media. A key output of the forum will be the establishment of a Global Alliance on Media and Gender which will coordinate systematic follow-up to one of the critical areas of concern of the Beijing Declarationand Platform for Action (BDPA), “Women and the Media Diagnosis”.

If your organization is a media organization, regulatory body (such as broadcasting commission) or media self-regulatory body, public or private entity, research institution, UN agency, funds or programme, national, regional and international development agency, NGO, CBO, association, network, training/academic institution and your organization is involved in gender and media related activities or gender equality issues, whether online or off line, you can become part of the Global Alliance on Media and Gender by clicking on this link, We Agree to Stand for Change! Please complete the brief questionnaire by 30 October 2013.
Online registration to participate in the event is separate and distinct from thequestionnaire or the call for interest to be a part of the Global Alliance on Media and Gender movement. If you have completed the questionnaire and intend to attend the event in Thailand, you must also register. Registration will close on 10 November 2013.
