WIFTI TO HELP UGANDAN FILMMAKERS
A project spearheaded by three American and Canadian women of Ugandan origin who are members of Women in Film and Television International has been launched to help Ugandan filmmakers.

Please submit your film for FEMINA ­ International Women's Film Festival, which will take place during May 13-18, 2008, at the CAIXA Cultural, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Only work directed by women in 2007 and 2008.

2007 IAWRT IIC film festival REPORTBACK

Niarobi workshop lays foundation for 2007 conference
About 40 media women, including the IAWRT board, attended a workshop at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies near Nairobi after which planning commenced for the 2007 conference in Kenya.

LUNARFEST shows short films around the US
A travelling festival of short films by, for and about women runs from March to October at 100 venues around the US. Each ticket sold raises money for Breast Cancer Fund and local non-profit organisations.
