About FOKUS
The Forum for Women and Development is a Norwegian resource centre on international women's issues. It acts as an umbrella organisation for 66 women's organisations in Norway and coordinates their international solidarity work. FOKUS administers funding from Norad, the Norwegian Development Agency, and channels it through member-organisations to women's projects in Africa, Asia, Latin- America and Eastern Europe. IAWRT Norway is a FOKUS member and receives funding for its international network of media women. This year FOKUS has been selected for the annual national fundraising TV campaign. The theme is "world without violence against women" and the money collected will be used to support local projects in Africa, Asia, Latin-America and Eastern Europe. IAWRT members have been invited to cooperate with local NGOs and apply for funding for media-related projects. For more information go to FOKUS
