IMOW
The International Museum of Women amplifies
the voices of women globally through
history, the arts and cultural programs that
educate, create dialogue, build community,
and inspire action.
MS Foundation for Women
As the country’s first national, multi-issue
women’s fund, the Ms. Foundation directs
resources of all kinds to cutting-edge
projects that nurture girls’ leadership
skills, protect the health and safety of
women, and provide low-income women with the
tools to lift themselves and their families
out of poverty.
The African Women's Media Centre
The African Women's Media Center, a project
of the International Women's Media
Foundation, was founded in 1997. Located in
Dakar, Senegal, and directed by an advisory
committee of African women in the media, the
center is the only continent-wide
organization working with and on behalf of
African women in the media. Since the
center's founding, more than 900 women
journalists have taken part in 21 programs
and workshops conducted by the AWMC
Communications Consortium Media Center
The CCMC
"seeks to influence public policy in ways
that respect and support individual rights,
healthy families, cultural diversity and a
sustainable environment. Each of our public
education campaigns focuses on the issue or
policy change, not on promoting individuals
or organizations."
WomenWatch
A central gateway to information and
resources on the promotion of gender
equality and the empowerment of women
throughout the United Nations system,
including the United Nations Secretariat,
regional commissions, funds, programmes,
specialized agencies and academic and
research institutions. It is a joint United
Nations project created in March 1997 to
provide Internet space for global gender
equality issues
RAINBO
International non-profit group working on issues
at the intersection between women's health and
human rights. Starting with Female
Circumcision/Female Genital Mutilation (FC/FGM),
we explore ways of preventing this and other
forms of gender-based violence.

The Female Genital
Cutting Education and
Networking Project
The purpose of the Project is the dissemination
online and offline of material related to female
genital mutilation, otherwise known as female
circumcision. The Project seeks to form an
online clearinghouse and a community for
researchers, activists, attorneys, and health
care practitioners to obtain information and
network with others involved in similar
projects.
International Women's Tribune Centre
IWTC is a global NGO formed in l976 after
the UN International Women's Year World
Conference in Mexico City. IWTC is committed
to empowering people and building
communities by providing communication,
information, education, and organising
support services to women's groups,
particularly in Africa, Asia and the
Pacific, Latin America and the Caribbean,
Eastern Europe and Western Asia.

SWAG, a concentration or major open to all
undergraduates at the University of Virginia, is
