Norway

There are 35 members to date in the Norwegian Chapter and the chapter receives in-kind support from the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. The new chapter head is Gerd Inger Polden. Over the last two years the organization has managed two film advocacy projects, "The Half Widow's Project" and the "Trafficking Project." The Norway chapter helps to facilitate the relationship with our primary funder, Fokus. In 2008 the group brought an IAWRT member from the Philipines to the "Global Investigative Journalism Conference." This year the group invited an IAWRT member from Sudan to the "The Global Forum on Freedom of Expression Conference." In addition to being the head of the chapter, Gerdinger is the head of Awards Ceremony.There are four members meetings each year and one board meeting a month. Additionally they hold open screenings for members to view work.
