Elizabeth Roxas, IAWRT Treasurer attended the COP15 in Copenhagen

In-depth training on the inner workings of the web site conducted in Montreal Canada to assist in the establishment of the secretariat.

IAWRT's 33rd Biennial Conference in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from 17 to 21 November 2009, will be co-hosted by the Women's Media Centre of Cambodia.

The following program for the five-day conference and IAWRT meetings will be updated as details are confirmed. Please keep coming back.

Beijing +15: Empowering women through media

Conference participants and guests will be welcomed with cocktails at 6.30 pm on Monday 16 November 2009. This is a chance to informally meet new members and guests and to catch up with old friends.

 DAY 1 - Portrayal of Women in the Media

Beijing+15: What was the Beijing Platform for Action? What has happened since 1995? Where to now for women and media? Chair: Bandana Rana, Vice-President, IAWRT.

           Cambodian League for the Promotion and Defence of Human Rights (LICADHO)

9.40     Members to report from their own countries and regions on progress on Beijing+15 by

11.00   Keeping governments focused: Shadow Reporting on the Beijing Declaration and Platform for
           Action.
