APPLY FOR IAWRT FOKUS SCHOLARSHIP
Your application should be in the hands of the Selection Committé within the IAWRT Board NO LATER THAN JUNE 29. The fund is for short term or long-term academic program in media studies and media projects.

2007 IAWRT IIC film festival REPORTBACK
The IIC Asia Project -- in collaboration with the IAWRT India chapter -- celebrated the vision of women with the Asian Women Filmmakers festival. It was entitled "Reflections: Women Imaging Realities".

Niarobi workshop lays foundation for 2007 conference
About 40 media women, including the IAWRT board, attended a workshop at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies near Nairobi after which planning commenced for the 2007 conference in Kenya.

Ecocinema calls for entries
The 7th Ecocinema International Film Festival - to take place in Greece, from October 25 to November 1, 2007 - calls for documentary, fiction and animation films, features and shorts that focus on the ecology.

IAWRT mourns the passing of Mal Johnson

IAWRT member honoured by Stanford University
Zimbabwean Violet Gonda was selected as one of 20 John S. Knight Fellows to study at Stanford during the 2007-08 academic year. Gonda is an exiled producer and presenter at "SW Radio Africa" in London.

All women team at UKs blazes new trail for Pakistan

LUNARFEST shows short films around the US
A travelling festival of short films by, for and about women runs from March to October at 100 venues around the US. Each ticket sold raises money for Breast Cancer Fund and local non-profit organisations.
