IAWRT Funding -- Deadline Soon!
STRENGTHEN-IAWRT ACTIVITIES IN YOUR COUNTRY
OR REGION
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS - JULY 22, 2006
Members in countries of the South (Eastern
Europe included) are invited
to apply to IAWRT for funding for
country/regional activities, such as
meetings, public events, outreach
activities, trainings, or workshops.
This funding is part of our allocation from
FOKUS (Norway's Forum for
Women and Development) and available to be
spent in this calendar
year.
An IAWRT board committee will evaluate
proposals, aiming to
approve up to six projects amounting to no
more than $1,500USD each.
These local initiatives should be activities
that will be attractive
to local or regional IAWRT members and
potential members, and should
also include the option for eligible
participants to apply to join
IAWRT.
Projects which conclude in formation
of new country Chapters are
also eligible.
HOW TO APPLY
Please write a brief proposal stating what
project or activity you are
applying for, how it will meet needs and
interests of members and potential members,
how you will represent the
image of IAWRT to the group and to the
public, and how the activity
will contribute (in your country or Region)
to the advancement of women
through media.
Please include the names and contact
information for persons in charge
of organizing and reporting on the activity,
the dates (must be
finished and reported on by the end of
2006), and a budget (including
whether you expect contributions from other
sources).You will need to
include in your budget a line for keeping
and auditing records
of the money spent and writing the financial
report.
Please keep your proposal brief -- no more
than 2 pages, please.
